“After graduating, I am moving back home to Manhattan Beach, and working in the Marketing Department for Bank of the West in Los Angeles.  Once I've been working for a few years and get a better feel for what I want to do, I plan to attend either business or law school.”

Completing the BizComm track of the Professional Writing minor gave me the opportunity to practice practical applications.  Applying to the minor was one of the best decisions I made at UCSB.  I learned a tremendous amount and know that what I take from the experience is sure to benefit me in the future. Post graduation, I am planning to take some time off from work and school. Hopefully, in the fall, I will apply for jobs in Marketing or Public Relations.”

“After Graduation, I am planning on taking, and hopefully passing, all four parts of the CPA exam.  At that point, I will be driving my car back home across the country on a 2 week long trip, exploring the many different cities and states within the country with my girlfriend.  Then once January comes along, I will be starting full time work with Ernst & Young, LLP. in my hometown of Philadelphia, PA.  Beyond that, I will start making plans to transfer back out to California within a few years.”

When I graduate, I will be working for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in Los Angeles as an Audit Associate.  Although my employment opportunities were initially determined by my major, the Professional Writing minor/ Business Communication emphasis has greatly refined and established my oral and written communication skills.”

“The internship that I participated in as part of the minor requirements offered me the opportunity to continue on with the firm After graduation, I will move to a full time position at Christina Rottman Designs, a successful interior design firm in Montecito. CRD is a smaller organization and my position is multifaceted, falling somewhere along the lines of a Consultant/Operations Analyst/Business Developer. My primary responsibility is to upgrade and improve the current systems and procedures to encourage growth.”
